In the coming week, investors are likely to focus on retailers. A number of retailers are scheduled to announce quarterly results, including bigger names like Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT), as well as Macy's (NYSE: M), Kohl's (NYSE: KSS), Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN), and JC Penney (NYSE: JCP).
Meanwhile, the economic calendar kicks off with Trade Balance on Tuesday. Retail sales and business inventories data is due for release on Wednesday. Core PPI data and weekly jobless report are scheduled for release on Thursday. Friday's economic calendar features CPI, capacity Utilization, industrial production and University of Michigan/Reuters consumer sentiment index.
